Why The Recent Name Change?
MRDD Solutions has changed its name and look. We are now Solana, a name derived from our parent company, Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio.

Why, you may ask? As developers of industry-specific software designed for providers of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, we are in a unique position to help instill a positive image of those people served by provider agencies. It's for this reason we have decided to drop the "MR" designation.

While our name and look are changing, all other details and structure of the company will remain the same. Our industry-specific software, timely support, and commitment to premier customer service will be constant during this transition.

Solana is the creator and exclusive marketer of the Integrated Software Series©. Development and enhancement of the software is a result of a collaborative approach with multiple providers who service people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. These providers experienced many of the same issues that make agencies operate inefficiently and experience low or negative profit margins.

The core accounting modules were programmed in 1992 and a significant customer base has since evolved. In 1995, with the addition of one of Ohio’s largest and most respected non-profit provider as a customer (Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio), ID/DD-specific modules such as Client Billing, Client Banking and Client Information were developed. Impressive increases in efficiency occurred through the integration of core accounting processes with the tasks handled by the ID/DD modules, thus the birth of the Integrated Software Series©.
